Credit Sesame scores, tradelines and card offers

Credit Sesame, Inc. · Lending

Credit Sesame: Grow your score is Credit Sesame, Inc.'s US consumer-finance app for checking VantageScore readings, viewing one- and three-bureau credit reports, reviewing tradelines, and comparing credit-card and personal-loan offers. Its credit-coach and suggested-card screens sit alongside rent-reporting enrollment, credit lock, identity-exposure scans, Sesa AI chat and savings goals. Sesame Cash adds a Mastercard debit account issued with Community Federal Savings Bank, while the app also offers a premium subscription plan. Suggested-card modules include Capital One prescreening. It serves US consumers who want to follow their credit, compare borrowing options and report rent, placing it alongside Intuit Credit Karma, Experian, NerdWallet, WalletHub and myFICO. Sign-in uses email and password, with optional two-factor codes and biometric unlock on the device.

CSID bureau-score snapshots pair bureau and scoreModel with score, scoreRating, scoreDate and next3BUpdateDate. The app's credit-file summaries add creditRank, openTradeLinesCount, hardInquiriesLast6Months and creditHistoryLength, while individual tradelines link idHash to creditor, currentBalance, creditLimit, payStatus and late-payment counts. Credit-operations dashboards can organize readings by bureau and model, track refresh dates, and compare account balances with reported limits.

Card-offer records combine issuer, apr, approvalOdds and annualFeeDetails with utilization context in creditCardUsageDetail. Personal-loan offers add loanAmountMax, monthlyPayment and termMonths for comparison tools. Rent histories supply amount, status and date alongside enrollmentStatus; identity-exposure summaries distinguish numDataBrokersFoundExposed from numDataBrokersNotFoundOrRemoved. These records support card-offer ranking, tradeline reconciliation, rent-history tracking and broker-removal workflows. openData Studio turns this data model into callable open data for authorized integrations.

Where teams use this data

  • Three-bureau score dashboard

A credit-ops board charts creditScoreDetails.score by bureau and scoreModel, overlays creditRank / hardInquiriesLast6Months from the profile, and flags next3BUpdateDate so a refresh is scheduled before the CSID window lapses.

  • Card-offer ranker

A marketplace matcher sorts creditCards by approvalOdds and apr, then filters on creditCardUsageDetail.creditUtilizationPercent and userCreditLimit so only issuers the file can actually carry are shown.

  • Tradeline utilization recon

A bookkeeping bot walks tradeline idHash rows (creditor, currentBalance, creditLimit, payStatus, late30Count) against the profile's openTradeLinesCount to catch a newly delinquent revolving line.

  • Rent and broker-exposure ops

A tenant-credit workflow posts rent-reporting payments (amount, status, date) and watches IdentityExposureInfo.numDataBrokersFoundExposed so a removal ticket opens when a new broker listing appears.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official public Credit Sesame API, and how is authentication illustrated?

No. The paths and request/response values shown here are illustrative examples for planning integrations, not an official public Credit Sesame developer API. They do not provide access to anyone's credit file. Credit reports, account details and session credentials require appropriate authorization. The sign-in example supplies email, password and a client apiKey to obtain sessionId and sessionIdentifier. Subsequent examples use a Bearer session token. All credential values are placeholders; optional two-factor codes and biometric unlock remain separate account-security features.

Which score, credit-profile, credit-lock and simulation fields are represented?

Three-bureau score records contain creditScoreDetails with bureau, scoreModel, score, scoreRating, scoreDate and next3BUpdateDate. Credit-profile records add creditProfileId, creditScore, creditRank, openTradeLinesCount, hardInquiriesLast6Months, creditHistoryLength and lastRefreshDate. Credit-lock records contain bureau, status and timestamp. Score-simulation records pair scenario identifiers with a projected creditScore and scoreOverTimeData. A projected score describes a what-if scenario rather than a guaranteed future credit outcome.

What can card and personal-loan comparison tools use?

Card-offer records include productId, issuer, apr, annualFeeDetails, approvalOdds, averageApprovedScore and creditCardUsageDetail with userCreditLimit and creditUtilizationPercent. Loan offers include personalLoanId, apr, loanAmountMax, monthlyPayment, termMonths and partnerCode. The sample values are fictional, not current product terms or guarantees of approval.

How are tradelines, rent histories and identity exposure structured?

Tradelines use idHash and list creditor, currentBalance, creditLimit, payStatus and late30Count, late60Count and late90Count. Rent-payment records contain name, amount, status, accountNumber and date, with separate enrollment-status flags. Identity-exposure summaries count brokers found exposed, not found or removed, still being scanned and scanned in total.
